I see a lot of people using por and chassis black on their frames but has anybody had any experience with mastercoat?

So far I love it. I still have a long way to go but it meets my needs perfectly. I have a rebuild thread in the 25 section. Close to the end I have some photos of the parts I have coated so far.

I'm sand blasting everything down to bare metal then doing the phsorphic acid wipe down then brushing on the silver. I will have to sand the brush marks out before I prime and color coat. I need to do it that way beacuse I'm on budget for $$ and space. I'm doing it all myself, a part at a time. This way I can store parts for a very long time while I get the rest of them ready. When all the parts are done then I will figure a way to prime and color coat in one swoop.

If you brush yours on don't use the sponge brushes. Just use cheap throw away brushes. For the bigger parts a foam roller worked well for me.

Edit** sorry I see you haven't sanded it out yet. But does it go a long way with a small amount or do you need a few coats

They recommend 2 coats for the best protection. I have sanded some of it just to make sure of the effort required. It wasn't bad. I do have a small problem with my hands and can't do a lot sanding unless I use a power tool. I bought a sonic crafter multi tool to help me get into the tight places and it works well. On the large pieces I will use a larger power sander.
