Yes, no, maybe so?

saw an image online somewheres...forget where...the t-case is a centered output front and rear....meaning it's TOTALLY different than any other case out presently from Toyota....

in other words, don't hold your breath for a doubler....it may end up being quite a bit of engineering...

I was curious too so I went out side and started taking apart my new FJ.

WOAH, MoJ, you are HARDCORE. That means you can be my friend! :)
Dont forget to add your FJC to your sig! :)

The shifter for the t-scase is electric shift, so you'd have to fool the computer somehow to go 2WD low.

How many of these are going to be manual and how many automatics??

Hmm wait... If these are chain driven, is 2 low physically possible?

Possible yes, The chain is only the drive mechanism for the front drive, not 2/4.

I suspect the non-us has a top shifting setup. There is the opening at the top that matches the late 90's shifter base, but no shifter is there. the electronic unit is mounted on the back of the t-case. I have no idea how it wurks inside, yet.

So we might still have a chance! yay! Ok, so, heres the plan. You buy FJC, you test out our little theory, if it works, I save for 25 years, buy FJC, and cruiser with you, or, if it dosen't work, I save for 25 years, buy FJC, and cruiser with you. :D
