With T-case and shifter changes, I’ve been through a few knob changes and failures. Whatever shift-lever I have on there now it is M8-1.25 threads. “THESE” knobs fit and feel good. They’re simple, ball shaped, and are solid with a brass insert. They come in a pack of five so now I have spares.

Thanks for the reply. We've gone through different knob designs over the year. Way back in the day we used to use knobs with a brass insert tapped in an American pattern that we would then re-tap (directly tap straight through) into the Metric Toyota thread, but as of the last decade or so we now use knobs with a proper Metric thread

Edit: We forgot to add that this is only for the rubberized transfer case shifter knob. Our Transmission knobs have always been machined from billet aluminum and have always featured the proper M12 metric thread. Note that some older Land Cruisers used M10 threaded handles which our transmission knob will not fit.
