Somthing to be aware of; the pilot bearing holes for the 80 3FEs are larger than the 62 3FEs.

No reason. As long as it's a 4/5speed BH.

Be aware that pre-1985 BH's clock the tranny straight up, and 85-later BH's clock the tranny over 7degrees to drop the T-case down.

Is the 7 degrees only on FJ40 because the short drive shaft ?

The 7 degree drop is only 85-later, so 60 & 70 series vehicles.

So what I’m getting on the Bell-housing topic is that
any model with a 2F or 3F motor and a 4 or 5spd. are swappable
with each other But is that only H55F,H41&H42.
Or are there other transmissions with the same bolt pattern mentioned
above??

After this is all said an done (bolted together an tested) I’ll consolidate
all this useful info an post it with other info I have been saving.
At least the next person won’t need to do all this research.
