Just a heads up....

Went to the MAF website today to check out what they had and noticed they had a very limited selection in the 80 series.

BUT

They do have a large selection of stuff on clearance to include: headers, ARB roof racks, coils, and other misc parts are discounted prices. This was for all sorts of FJ's, including FJCs.

Just thought I'd let those of you know that may be looking for stuff.

Wife said I could buy them. :) I know what I'll be doing at work tomorrow lol

Careful, they were designed for a 62. I think there was some "clearancing" required to fit the 80. Also, people on the forums debate if these are worth the money or not. I can't imagine it would hurt, though.

Designed for a 62 just means I get a custom exhaust right? Lol

Actually looking at a motor rebuild, so that would be what those are for.

Man, they want a ton of cash to rebuild a 3FE! Said parts availability is terrible too. It's pretty bad when you ask a shop to rebuild a motor and they suggest going to a SBC lol

Guess I gotta stick it out with this tired 3FE for a while.

I don't like hearing that. I assumed that I would swap eventually, but the cost and effort is higher than I first thought. I have read that the 3fe responds well to head work: you can mill the head to bump up compression, three angle valve job, gasket match, etc. I believe you can also bore over ~.05 with stock pistons. I would think that a performance oriented rebuild could be done at much lower cost than a swap.

Not the case apparently. The guy say "Think long and hard before you decide to go down that road on that motor. Think it over 80 times."

Just ordered a clearance part for my Kaymar bumper. Lots of clearance items and website says they will be down for awhile in a week or so. They are looking for a smaller place and will concentrate on parts only. Not going to be doing repairs,, etc. any longer. Best of luck to them on the parts business! They've been around awhile.
