Well Erik and I made some progress tonight. He tacked up the rear hangers and we put the rear end in place. This is the first time it has been on all four tires in over a year.

We are going to let it sit for a few days and I'm going to take some measurements before we finish welding everything up.

Looks good, Randy! Rig seems tall... how much lift are you running? Are ya gonna need a garage lift to get it out? :D

I'm running the Marlin 4" springs up front and the 5" springs in rear. We will definitley need to deflate the tires to get her out of the garage

As for what I have left to do...

Driveshafts
Bleed Brakes
Bleed Clutch
Weld on sliders
Front and rear bumpers
Install seats
Get engine running...not sure if that will be easy or difficult (stay tuned)

I'm sure I'm leaving a few things out

Randy,

Good to see you making progress. Nice scale figure to enhance the lift:)

Oh yeah...I forgot to add. Erik and i figured out the sliders I had on my 00' Runner will work on the 85' with very little modification.

You can see one of them on the floor under the truck in the picture above.

It's ALIVE!

I must say I'm still a little shocked that I was able to drive it out of the garage and on to a trailer and in to the garage of our new house. :bounce: :bounce2: :bounce: :bounce2:

Keep in mind the fact that the truck wouldn't run when I picked it up 18 months ago and I haven't touched the engine since. It fired right up about a week ago.

Hey Erik - the brakes work. Thanks for the heads up on how to bypass the LPSV.

It's first offical outing will be at the Asher's in June. I still need to:

...get an exhaust system installed
...get the frame patched in a couple of spots
...break in the diffs.
...weld on the sliders
...build some bumpers

For proof that it really runs check out the video. (I was testing out YouTube)

Congrats.. So your moving homes now? And do I actually see seats in it?

Lookin' good! :bounce: :bounce2: What size is your trailer? Also, I have an extra muffler if you need it.

Bumper pic

Thought I would post up an update.

I had Duane w/ Techtafab run my exhaust, plate the frame and build my bumper last weekend. I'm very happy with the results.

My Bestop Bikini top arrived today and the install kit for the 4Runner should arrive later this week.

I have been mainly working on the interior the past couple of weeks...making up new door panels and wiring up the stereo.

Here are a few pics...

Are those two door handles in the bottom picture?

Yep...I'm guessing they put the second one in so that the person sitting in the back seat could open the door...
