As I mentioned in a previous thread, I’m inheriting a 2000 year with only 50,000 miles rust free from my father who has owned it since new.

What maintenance should I do on it?
Below the mileage requirement but it’s over 20 years old.

I intend to change all the fluids, including transmission and differentials
I assume the timing belt as it’s a 9 year 100,000 mile item? (Interference engine scares)
While in there the water pump and thermostat?
Look at the heating T’s or change them?
Anything to look at with the radiator? The hoses?
Anything with wheel bearings etc etc ?

Thoughts here would be great to prepare the LC for reliable future adventures. I’d prefer to do everything needed at once.

And any obvious upgrades? Lights? Stereo (love to find the conversion pieces to replace the stereo system). Someone had Scheelman seats and I was like those are so comfortable!

Thank you!

Search "Baselining List". If you have the money do ALL of it.
Even if it might be new, if you don't know change it just to be sure.
The WP is part of a timing kit.
Yes heater Ts. Get the better brass ones.
Do all the hoses/belts if you don't know how old they are.

It's not an interference motor. The later VVT-i ones are.

Headlight bulbs are about the only upgrade that seems universal.
