The 2016+ has some good phone/device mount options, such as Rockform’s mount, but not so much for the earlier years. So, I rigged this up the other day.
I disassembled part of a Spigen One Tap charger mount (it’s about 2 years old, may be discontinued) and mounted that to a RAM 5” slotted rail with a RAM knob and all of that is carefully bolted to the center speaker grille. It’s nice and solid, puts the phone in the right spot, and looks fairly unobtrusive especially from the diver’s seat. I just need to go back and feed the cord down into the speaker grille and into a hidden USB-C power supply.
