M6000 SDP/M8000/9.5xp hybrid

Been thinking about a rear winch for my 40.. Id like to mount it externally and make it part of the rear tyre carrier.. I thought to save space, but yet have reasonable performance I could build a M6000 short drum with a M8000 gearbox and a 9.5xp motor..

I wonder has anyone out here done anything like this before..

Hi All:

I dunno about that combo of parts (sounds cool!) but I'd want the rear winch mounted to the rear of the vehicle frame, not the tire carrier, which is an added component.

I would build a new carrier similar to a MAF 4+ type thing, I'd remove the tail lights and install mounting points onto the frame rails accessible through the tail light openings. The winch mount would be part of the new carrier..
