I'm rebuilding an M416A1 and have come to the unfortunate realization that many of the parts are not the same as a standard M416 trailer (assumed, you know what that means). I have searched and spent 2 trips the the local auto parts store w/o being able to find the shoes or springs for the M416A1 trailer. If anyone has part numbers or suggestions I would be grateful.

Not specific the the M416, I looked into adding electric brakes to the axle on our M101 CDN since it uses what is basically a stock Dexter parking brake assembly. It could be done, but by the time I priced the parts to do it out, I found I could spec a complete new axle with electric brakes for basically the same cost.
Keep in mind that I'm not a restorer...
I concluded it will make more sense to just go with a nice clean new axle.
