Kim,

I'm curious about making it a dump trailer as well. When I look at it it seems that it might already be setup for it? I'm looking forward to your post.

Kim,

Thanks for the tip! I checked it out and bought it. It suits my needs perfectly.

Any know of a good spot to get a pintle hitch?

I bought my pintle hitch and mount at HitchCo in Burnaby, Springer and Douglas are the crossroads. A nice hitch at a decent price.

Bilbo, I figured out the dump procedure. First, there are two bolts that hold the front of the trailer box to the trailer frame. These need to be removed. Second, check to make sure that the wires for the trailer lights are not attached to both the frame and the box and make sure that there is slack when you dump the trailer. Third, mine has a spare tire mount and this mount was bolted to both the trailer and the box, I had to remove it.

To dump, set the trailer brakes and back up. Here is a pic.

Kim, thanks for the pics. It looks great! I'm going to take a look at mine tomorrow to see if it works?

Did you wire up your lights? I heard that they were designed for 24 volt?

1/4 ton Canadian Trailer Source

I got mine from Anderson & Anderson Surplus in Manitoba, Canada. He still has a few left. Good guy to work with. I am very happy with my purchase. :) If you need help wiring to a 7-pin plug let me know!

Best Regards,

You boys in the states that bought Canadian, how did you get it home? Shipped or picked up and were there any problems getting it across the border?
