if it's remotely usable, most definitely worth $150
if not usable, but you enjoy DIY fixing and you have time, definitely worth it
if not usable, no need for it, but have time and could use a few bucks, you could part it off and get more than that in parts I imagine
if none of the above, give the info to a fellow Mudder... :)

This would have to be a really rusted hulk not to be worth the money. The frame alone is worth the money, I have resurrected a hulk for about $300.00 including paint. There are a lot of things to look at if youre buying it, Time is only the beginning. You are on the right board for all the help you could ever ask for. These guys will walk you thru every step of the rebuild. Good luck,,,

make sure it's not a 105 unless you really want one. They look fairly similar to the 101s at a glance on a pic. The 105s are huge and much less lusted after by the general public.

The bed is maybe 3 feet wide and 5 feet long. Don't think it has brakes but it has a full float axle.

An M101 will have 5 lug nuts. The wheel wells will be inside the trailer bed. It will have external bracing ribs on the bed sides.

An M101A2 will be similar, with 8 lug nuts and a surge brake.

An M104 or M105 will have six lug nuts, but otherwise looks like the M101, though much larger.

Jeep trailers will have 5 lug nuts. Their bed sides are reinforced with pressed in ribs. The bed sides also flare out on the top of the sides.

An M105 is such a huge trailer that I see them go begging for a buyer for $300 to $500 around here. They have to be titled and registered due to their weight. Frankly I would not want to take one on the road with anything less than an F250, and preferrably an F350.

3' wide? that's pretty small. bed between wells? you sure it's not a Canadian 101 if the number 101 was mentioned? Or a 416? If so, those are really bad. You don't want it. May I ask where you found it? :D

OK, maybe not with an OEM tailgate, but still... :)

If it's a M101 CDN, that's an excellent deal, well worth it and a much more usable trailer for most people. If nothing else, if it's a M101 CDN buy it and then resell it for 3 or 4 times that in the classifieds here -- and the buyer will still get a good deal.

I am a little prejudiced about these sweet little Canadians...:bounce:

Cutting a tailgate in one is not something I'd do, but to each his own...and you can always weld it up.

Heck, even a M416 that's not totally rusted wouldn't be a bad deal for $150 if it's roadable.

A bit rough but here it is.

does look rough but hard to tell, could be a pleasant surprise and good potential.
