LX570 door advertising. Wait....what?

Should have paid closer attention to this.

I followed your suggestion and you are exactly right. Trasure Coast Lexus apparently took advantage of a built in advertising platform. The tab you referred to is made to accept a circular lens that creates the pattern we see on the ground. I pulled the tabs, popped them open, dumped the Treasure Coast Lexus lenses, reinserted the now empty tabs and, Bob's Your Uncle, it is back to original.

Problem solved.

Thanks,

Bob

Wow. That is just really strange.

Is it still a small, focused circle on the ground without the graphic insert? -Or does it spread wide to light the area?
Hopefully not a little circle... doesn’t seem like a very useful spread of light.

The fixture now produces a well defined, much brighter 52" diameter circle of light. It seems useful to illuminate what you are about to step in.

If you go back to my first post , you'll see that the dealer's lens blocked 90% of the light, only allowing the "Treasure Coast Lexus" logo to shine through. The "after" photo shows that 100% of the light being generated now reaches the ground and lights up the area. It is much more useful and makes it very clear how much the dealer's lens was interfering with the operation of the vehicle.

Glad you figured that out.

I wonder if these newer light fixtures will drop into the older models? Light looks great.

The old fixtures are crud with no back refecter to even maximum output. Light is so diffuse that I don't recall what it looks like.
