I once again adjusted the the torsion bars to get the pressures right (near new Kings springs on the rear) as it was starting to ride like a pig again. I have tested the levels with the AHC reservoir (within specs) and was about to pull the trigger on a set globes and after a couple of weeks the ride started to deteriorate and I would say it was a about 75% good but smashed hard on potholes and harsh corrugations but floated along on poor quality roads. After 21 years would it be likely the torsion bars might need replacing? Its been quite a long time since I have owned a torsion bar vehicle. I think there will be some larger brains than mine that have some experience with AHC/Torsion bars

nobody really talks about it much, but yes Torsion bars wear out. I had a set w/ 300k miles on them, and they were sagging. I tightened them up, but the spring rates were crap after that many miles and having the preload cranked up to compensate. I replaced them w used lower mileage ones, and immediately noticed a huge difference.

Thanks for the feedback and with 530K + km I suspect I should do mine and see how that improves the ride. I noticed that left hand bar has been cranked a fair bit more than right hand (RHD vehicle)
