I have a 2002 LX470 with the Mark Levinson Audio and navigation. DVD-based Nav died a while back, but the head unit was working fine .. until today.
Even when the audio is powered off, it acts as if someone just inserted a tape, which sets off the tape player into search mode. It then realizes there's no tape, so it switches over to radio, and my power antenna goes up. Then its back to tape, and the antenna goes down. This cycle continues endlessly, with the antenna going up and down every few seconds.
Its infuriating!! Getting dangerously distracting while driving as well.
I really have no desire to replace the entire head unit; not a cost issue, I just like the clean OEM look. The Tesla units seem more trouble than they are worth, and I don't want to deal with all the wiring. I was happy with a simple plug-in Bluetooth radio transmitter connected to my iPhone.
Any suggestions? Please help. Thanks in advance!
