hey mudders

I am looking for the perfect shocks for a lx450 with 285/75/16 tires, needs to be close to stock height. I plan on purchasing them from Downsouth Motorsports. We have already measured the old ranchos, but i do not want to base the length off of them. Would you possibly know the lengths of the shocks you have in mind compressed and extended?

Thanks

Guess I'm not 100% clear on what you're asking. Are you asking for shock length for a stock height rig? Why can't DSM tell you what is a stock equivalent replacement?

Sounds like you are over thinking it. Based on zero data on what your usage of the lx is I would recommend stock bilstein replacements and call it a day.

I replaced my LX shocks with OEM Tokicos for the Land Cruiser. Later I added 2" Ironman springs and 285/75 Duratracs. The ride was and still is fantastic. It's hard to believe a vehicle with this kind of off-road capability can ride so nice.

With stock springs, I actually really liked my original LX450 shocks. They worked exceptionally well, even at 65,000 miles.

I will use the truck as a DD however still want something adequate enough to up hold the TLC reputation off road. Sorry for not clarifying.

Did the same as dgerst and went OEM land cruiser shocks. They are softer than the Nitrocharger sports, but firmer than Lexus OEM. I think I read somewhere OEM Land Cruiser shocks were 30% firmer than OEM Lexus.
Mine is also a daily driver and 99% of time spent in the jungles of suburbia...
