Build LX450 - Groceries, 3-pedals and a coil pack. Daily driver build!

I have had this LX450 for awhile now, when I bought it it was cheap enough to be a parts truck or complete enough to put back on the road. It’s not rusty.

I am wanting a low lift, a bit of a sleeper, fun to drive type Cruiser for daily duties. With lots of parts around the shop it seemed good enough of a Cruiser to put back on the road and have some fun with. Condition on this thing currently is probably a six out of ten.

A coil pack 1FZ I have for the build.

New H152 5spd trans.

Random manual trans swap parts.

I have a bunch of tcases to pick from for a rebuild. I also have high/low tcase gears and part time kits too. Not sure currently if I will keep this thing full time or go part time.

I am listing my 1995 FZJ80 soon for sale and this LX will replace it for DD and light duties.

I think I will pull the trans and tcase this weekend. Clean the inside, toss the front carpet if not both f&r.

It’s not rusty, definitely dirty though.

As you can see above it was all spilled sodas, spilled coffee, spilled whatever, sun flower seeds, 22mm spent cartridges and some more scum.

T-CASE: ya that’s is happening!

This build we are takin the HF2A and putting in low-low gears plus high-high gears. Parts time as well. We are building a second at the same time, exactly the same except full time 4wd. So if for some weird reason I hate the part time I have the full time sitting here ready to drop in.

I would love to be able to work on Toyotas' all day. It would give my anxiety, depressed arse a clear mind working on something I love. Love doing your job isn't a job.
