Hi folks,
2011 LX 570-I figure someone on here must know...how do I access the windshield wiper nozzles and hose lines for inspection and replacement? I cannot figure out how to remove the plastic housing that covers all that jazz. I tried hitting it with compressed air in both directions. I could only find a small bit of exposed hosing in the driverside corner of the engine bay, disconnected it, and hit it with air. Passenger side works as it should, driverside, not so much.

I had an almost completely clogged nozzle, but was able to unblock it/clean it up and now sprays normal. But it did involve getting a small thin wire in there, pushing it in and out and moving it around to clear whatever was blocking it.

Hmmm, mines spraying but very weak on driver side, basically useless. When air is sprayed it can reach the top on the windshield. I’m thinking it’s either leaking or my poking damaged the nozzle.

Great to see this thread pop-up as I just noticed my driver side isn't spray as strong as the passenger side.

Good to know and raises hope that a minor cleaning might fix it. I have a fine wire carb cleaning kit and wonder if that'll do the trick. Now just to remember which drawer I left it in.

If your nozzles seem ok but one side still doesn’t spray much at all, check the splitter located on the underside of the hood. It has a check valve so the washer fluid doesn’t drain back. Sometimes they get damaged or clogged. It’s very cheap and easy to replace.

Thanks for the excellent hint. It was the check valve/splitter that was the culprit rather than the nozzle that was clogged. Probably also caused my leak at the reservoir as it looked like the windshield wiper circuit pump leaked from the pressure bypass with too much head pressure.

This $8 part is burried under the cowl.

Thank you for posting this info! I was able to clear the clogged windshield nozzle but more recently noticed a puddle of windshield washer fluid on my garage floor in front of the driver side from tire so, I suspect I may still have a bad check valve somewhere.. Or, this is stemming from the headlamp washer.. Can you clarify what I'm looking at in the picture? I cannot tell what part of the engine compartment this is.. Also, I cannot find any 'plumbing' for the windshield washer system on the underside of the hood on this 2015 LX570. Thanks again!

This is a timely thread. My drivers side washer nozzle is also weak. Worth swapping out the check valve for $8

I didn't get a contextual picture. What you're looking at is the underside of the large black plastic cowl at the base of the windshield.

The washer circuit runs in there from the drivers side windhsield washer tank under the fender. You'll see where the washer line goes from the fender to the cowl right under the driver hood hinge.

It could be the headlamp washer too as others have experienced that.

Thanks again! Now I see it.. I located the elbow at the drivers side hood hinge. Is there a trick to popping the cowling off to get to the back of the washer nozzles and check valves?
