dont drive it anymore until you put the additive in there! just buy what they sell at NAPA. does not have to be expensive. but if you feel more comfortable, you can always ask the counterman to jack up the price :flipoff2:
 
mine did same thing and the noise i heard sounded like a drip dry power steering pump at full lock growling BAD and i called Mobil Oil to verify that this stuff was good by itself for 06 DC W/LSD and they said yes, i will be first to call him, ie MObil 1 Tech a liar, it does need modifier added, it does not have enough!
 
gear lube

As for friction modifier, we typically stock the Ford stuff. It works well, and we can get it in bulk. We also use Richmond gear lube which is a high grade synthetic w/ friction modifier.
