So after my 2" lift in the front, 15.25" from the rim to the fender, the CV boot rubs on the lower shock bolt. I don't think the shock bolts that are in there now are stock, they are pretty large..

Anyone else have this issue when they raised their front end? What size bolt can I put in there that won't rub the CV boot?

I'm thinking about trying some button head bolts and see if they will clear the boot..

If anyone else has this issue, I went down to the local fastener shop and got some button head bolts. The boot clears the boot at full extension in both steering directions.

What is the strength grade of the button head bolts? Do they match the original bolts?

I'm betting they are only grade 3. Otherwise they would mention it. Keep the originals and tools in the truck.

Depends, and it likely is stronger than typical, but I don't know the alloy and how it is treated in comparison to a standard grade 3 bolt.
