93 FZJ80 2" lift. I have been having a few issues with my old girl running away downhill. Selected and in Low 1 but when dropping off into steep declines sometimes doesn't feel like it is in Low 1 and doesn't engine/gearbox brake and walk downhill. I have heard of electrical issues causing this. Interestingly my D dash light doesn't work, there is an alarm fitted, but it is not in use and also I have a runaway issue with the cruise control. I can have it set and all is ok and then boom the truck starts to accelerate.
No abnormal noise from the transfer case that I have heard and when Low 1 is engaged it does work very well. It is a very intermittent occurrence but obnviously I need to trust I am in Low 1 with some of the tracks I use, they are very steep. Any suggestions would be most useful.
