That would explain that, my 60 is a 9/82 model. I guess I just missed it. Oh well. How difficult to convert to a later dash with a functioning 4WD light? That would be a nice feature. So would the choke light. Mine is without that one as well.

Do you know when the choke light was introduced in the 60's?

ok... I just went to ebay and looked at some dashes of FJ60's. One that I looked at had a choke light on the left and a green 4WD light on the right. Mine defiently does not have either one of those. Whats up with that??? Is that something that they put only on later 60's. I wonder when the change was?

I would be interested in this also since I have the same year cruiser.

Haha thanks for posting that. That saved a me a lot of looking for somthing that it is not there. (Nov.81)

As for the other switches. Only the defrost lights up on mine. I don't think there are bulbs behind the rear wiper and rear heater switches.
