4 spd transmission and 3 spd transfer case in Louisville, ky
I got this unit from another mud member attached to a running 2f and I transplanted both into my fj40 and ran it for over a year. It did not have a transfer case attached at the time of purchasing, so I swapped on my existing 3 spd transfer case with the gear kit from Advance Adapters.
Shortly after I found a complete unit from an fj60 that I picked up pretty cheap. I held on to it. Recently my ride was showing signs of needing a new clutch - so I had my spare tranny rebuilt. During the clutch job I swapped the transmission as well. For sale is my original unit. It functions fine but did leak - it was only enough to have to top of off every 6 months of semi daily driving. So, I believe it’s a good unit - but I’d go through it if you want to have a non- leaker. I have the twin stick adapter on my transfer case - so I have quite a few random shifter pieces I’ll give to the new buyer - mostly from the old 3 spd. Case. It’s missing the trans brake backer plate
