Louisiana Club Challenge 2013 will be held Friday, November 15 through Sunday, November 17th at Sicily Island-Catahoula Recreation offroad park. As we get closer weather permitting I think we can get a few to attend the event. It is always an entertaining event worth catching and supporting

Is anyone from our crew going to this this year? It's only about 4 hours from home, so I wouldn't mind going over to watch/support.

Great to hear Eric, Holden and I will definitely plan to go for the weekend :) the event is a blast to watch especially the highly modified buggies don't hold anything back.

you must live a lot closer to me than I thought. Maps show little less than 3 hours for me.

Sounds like its about the same travel time for most of us 3 to 4 hrs. Its usually a 3hr ride if I drive the 80 and 3 1/2 towing it.

I might have some free time that weekend to make a run up there and watch. I've enjoyed the event in the past whn I've gone.

Great to hear Albert we've had some good outings there in November and now that they moved LCC event back a month I think it's going to be nice :)

I agree November is some nice camping weather

Eric, wasn't the last time we were out there with you we ended up being on the trails late one evening and had to straddle some deep ravines to be able to get out?

probably...most of my memories from out there revolve around me permanently turning my knuckles white while holding on and trying not to do severe damage (like the time John and I "creeped" up the rock line...oh, you mean the sand wall that collapses?). That's while I am going in a watching capacity and gonna feel the trails out slowly.
But camping and watching and hanging out sounds like a good plan...

But you had such a swagger going when you'd crank up the tunes loud and hit an obsticle like you were Iron Man Stuart running the baja it was fun to watch  you know I'm the best guinea pig, if Landry don't get through there without carnage we're turning around

That's a picture I found on MUD Albert I thought it looked great too. It was an older thread from 2009.

Scott/Eric here are the Club Challenge dates. I'm planning to make a weekend of it and get in some fall camping, wheeling and spectating :) Its usually the best time of year to enjoy Sicily Island not to mention its a fun event to see some of the modified buggies go at some insane trails.

So are most people heading up Saturday morning?
