Loud HVAC System

Does anyone have, noticed, observed or otherwise experienced a loud HVAC system in their Land Cruiser? When I turn the system on, and it doesn't matter if it's A/C or Heat it is loud, like I can hear it when I am driving through my neighborhood at 15-20mph. When the HVAC is off the motor and engine compartment are as quiet.
The system still produces hot and cold air as required, no abnormal smells and zero reduction in CFM from the fan.

1. Anyone else have this issue?
2. If something is failing or about to fail...what is it?

Blower motor commonly goes bad on these trucks. It's an easy fix. Instructions are on this forum if you do a quick search. You have replace the blower motor from underneath the dash, but other than lying on your back it's a piece of cake. The part is in the neighborhood of $100-$150, IIRC.

BTW - I did a search for HVAC and went through 10 pages and didn't see anything, I will try blower motor next and see what pulls down.

Great thread and I order the motor, about $141 to the door. Will install this weekend and possiblly update that thread.
