Members we replace the timing belt and water pump yesterday. We noticed while working that the camshaft pulley`s key was worn out since it was glued with steel putty in place . We did not repeat the process to glue the key into place again...completed all the work we start the Cruiser, it runs quite an everything we replace seems well done.
My son notice a click sound , faint but noticeable...it seems the key is loose inside the pully ...
Question :
will this cause failure ? Do I have to start all over again and replace the current camshaft now?
