Yo mudders,

Trying to find out where some rad camp spots might be around So Cal.

Looking for the more of the remote type spots.

All good if they need an adventure pass.

I go to Bishop a lot and camp all around there, mostly off Buttermilk Rd.

So if anyones been up around there, im looking for something like that.

Can handle some mild off roading to get to it, thanks to the crusher.

Would like to check out Shaver Lake area, my fishing pole needs water.

Don't mind driving around like 6 hours, live in Huntington Beach.

Let me know if you got any tips or if anyone else has found a good source for this.

Thanks h8ers!!!

Dude,
Your in the mecca of cool spots within hours of your place. Check the clubhouse section. So Cal 80's, Trail crew, So Cal Cruisers, they'll get ya started in the right direction.

Best thing I've found? Get a ton of maps, find an area you want to check out. Get to the trail. "Y" in the trail? Flip a coin.

Explore, brotha

I'm in the Four Wheel Drive Club of Fresno and we maintain the trails in the Shaver Lake area. There are many, many places to go. You are not required to camp in a developed campground. You can just turn off of the main road and find a place to camp. Also, some of our trails are easy enough for a stock rig. One good one is Voyager Rock Campground on the East shore of Courtright Reservoir. It's a no pay campground and there are also individual sites around the campground.West Lake is another good one for a stock or mildly modded rig.

Happy trails.

Touching on bogus one's idea, and to steel someone else's wit, " when you come to a fork in the road, take it"
