I've had the dreaded no sound issue and can't seem to find a solution that is under $5k. Purchased at dealer, all dealer maintenance (some $$$) and now new problem, no sound from radio. Checked all three fuses (main, FR and FL) and then paid dealer $2k for new amp. Didn't fix the issue. Rechecked all 3 fuses and tried the read DVD bypass (see pic) and no dice.
dealer wants $5300 for new head unit as next step, but it seems ridiculous to spend $5k on a 13 year old LC's sound system when everything else works great. Took it to cartoys and they clearly didn't know LCs.

I'm only so/so handy, so I'm not inclined to do much more myself. Any suggestions for people in SeaTac area that do elec/sound work and know LCs before I spend $5k on the dealers next step that might or might not work? Thanks in advance!

Can't help with that but just a suggestion, shure the unit is not 5k.Dealers in Seattle area make a killing on auto parts. Search online.
You may also consider a "tesla" style aftermarket replacement, much cheaper than that. Search the forum for options and reco.

I’m surprised the dealer charged you when they mis-diagnosed the problem and replaced a part that was working. Maybe that’s the way dealers work now, where all the diagnostic risk is on the customer? Anyway, if you do go ahead and have them install a new head unit, get it in writing they will not charge you if that doesn’t fix the problem. Asking that may also cause them to do a better job of diagnostics instead of firing the parts cannon.
