Looking for leather or vinyl covering for BH3D cup holder

Hi. I just received my BH3D cup holder replacement for my 2014 LX. The fit and functionality are excellent!

I am wondering if anyone has tried covering the top surface with matching leather or vinyl?

I understand my request is purely aesthetic and does not serve a functional purpose.

Awesome product, just looking for a nicer finish than the flat black spray paint.

Would using leather from the 3rd row seats work? That is if you removed them and had no use for them.

I gave mine a textured finish with a light coat of Rustoleum Truck Bed Liner.

I had the BH3D replacement covered in leather and it came out pretty nice. I used matte electrical tape to hide the edge of the leather where it wraps into the cup holder.

The adapter ring for smaller cups/bottles will need to be shaved down to properly fit into the larger opening.

I didn't paint the inserts, but I did use some plastic cups to "mask" the cup openings so they wouldn't get painted. That way the tolerance of the inserts isn't affected.

Ahh so that's not rubber in the bottom - that's just un-painted.
