Long story short, I work for a company called Pro-Sound: Prosound and Stage Lighting Canada Which specializes in Commercial Audio, Video, communication, Stage and Effects Lighting, we are a very well established company with a long history of professional, quality installations.
The work varies from very custom home installations to night clubs, school gym and PA systems to large theatres, BC Ferry and cruise ships. We are looking for people who can be brought in and trained up to junior installers. Mechanical inclination is necessary as this is a hands on job (and you need to know which way to turn a screwdriver to tighten something), prior experience in audio, video, communication or live music is not necessary. The important part is attitude and the willingness to learn as well as motivation. If anyone knows of someone who is interested in a job that has a lot of variety and is constantly challenging and is interested in developing a career, please let me know or give them my contact info. We are looking at a long term employee, we will train them both on site as well as offer professional courses as their skills improve. A valid driver's license is a must, a passport wouldn't hurt, the ability to do occasional night shifts or go out of town for a job.
