i really need to find a clean SWB bed, i finally bit the bullet and took mine off and there is just no fixing it, any one know of somone that has one with minimal rust? mine you can see threw it. and no i dont have the cash to buy one from across the pond, its going on a crawler so i dont need it to be perfect just make is so my stuff wont fall threw:D thanks
 
Have to agree with Dallas.

Is that your '63 in your AV? If it's for a crawler, or beefed up rig, I am sure you could weld a few pieces together to get it to look great, cause I don't think you will have much luck otherwise.

65 and yes the one in my avatar. i know its a rare find to just have lieing around i figured if anyplace would know where to find one it would be here. i am probly going to just have to bolt it back on and run it and just plate the hell out of it:doh:

I haven't chimed in before now because I don't think you would be interested but... at some point in the next year or two I was planning on reproducing the SWB bed for those that might want one. I can't do it at the moment cause I don't have one to copy but a prominent member here in the 45 section might be dropping of some scraps next spring. Thats a rumour at this point, nothing definite.

Regardless, a bed I make from scratch likely wouldn't be one you would want to wheel hard with and would cost in the 3k area.

ya dont think i would want to beat on that. im mostlikly going to sell the bed i got and make a tube one that looks just like it with skins on it

Thats what I would do. Make sure you take pictures and share the progress :cheers:
