Hi all,

I am trying to learn as much as possible about the 7x. However, all the 73,74,7,76 etc etc is pretty confusing esp as it relates to engines (bj, hj,fj, etc).

Is there a page that describes what was sold what year, and what the designations are?

beno - thanks! I am looking for one leve deeper. This model came with x feature until 87 but then switched to y. The following enginers were available but only in xyz countries etc.

Usually the last letters mean what trim package it came with, like LX and so forth. Usually trim would be base (manual everything and veinal (fake leather) seats and floor cover (DX), then mid trim usually manual everything but with cloth seats and carpeting (LX), the luxury better cloth seats and power everything and most likely locking differentials and a power sunroof (GLX ? ).
Then there are the "light duty" and "heavy duty" trucks. Light duty basically have the pickup drivetrain and coils springs. Heavy duty heavier duty drivetrain and leaf springs, but these got coils in the front after don't know when.
I'm sure if you spent some time with google you can find out a lot about this or spend time on Europe or Australian used car sites you can see all these differences.
