I like old and new iron, how this for a contrast, bone stock 65 fj45LV and 2000 UZJ100 and everthing inbetween :D I bet I put as many miles on the 65 as I do on the 2000 this year, or at least this summer. Funny thing is, the 2000 Cruiser broucure......has a pic looking out the 45LV at the 2000 UZJ.........I can do that in my yard :flipoff2:

You must have a big garage and a great wife :)

So, what we need to do is get a new 4Runner, then find a rear-end totaled GX and swap from the rear doors forward onto our Runner. Then order all of the appropriate badging from down under and we have ourselves a VERY expensive LC Prado! :flipoff2:

I'm seriously thinking of snagging a UZJ100 some time - that's why I'm here in this forum.

After reading about that 100 featured in TLCA Toyota Trails a few months back I'm starting to lean that way. However, I wouldn't mind holding off awhile as I'm thinking there are going to be some pretty cool hybrid Toyotas coming out shortly. 3 Lexus vehicles (GX,GS,LS) are going hybrid (this months C&D mag) and the Tundra will have a hybrid option in late 2005. Hoping if they build that new LC it will be as well. If this hybrid trend continues and gas stays high$ the price of our guzzlers is going to fall pretty quick. That would also be a good time to pick up a 100.

My sentiments exactly. If that FJ Cruiser prototype is built as a diesel or hybrid and has actual off-road ability (akin to 100 series -rock crawling not required) It is my next vehicle. Of course, that assumes they won't screw it up and "soften it". :slap:
Give me that painted metal interior baby :D
