Here locally, I've seen 80s on the market (we were shopping not long ago) that are STILL on the market, and the prices have dropped on them (specifically) by several thousand dollars. There's a 60 here that's been in the Auto Trader for more than 8 months - the guy wants like $9500 for an unmodified truck with 160k miles. Everything else is in the $4k range, and they aren't selling, either.
All of the 40s around here that I've seen go for well over $10k. They're sitting too.
I was noticing, too, that the prices on the older Jeeps are dropping too. Before I bought the 60 and was shopping, I was considering a CJ5 (my Grandfather had one) but they all went for $5-10k. Now the prices are $3-7k.
The reason, I think, the prices stayed so high on 60s and Jeeps etc, is from the trend for yuppies to buy retro SUVs and 4x4s (even saw an article about it in the Wall Street Journal) and that trend is gone. They're all selling off the 60s and buying Subaru/VW and Audi station wagons (the new adventure vehicles). Good for us though. Like Steve said, more truck for a lot less money. (If the economy turns around, maybe we can all start giving Landpimp a run for his money!)
