Until what month of 1989 building date bj73 does the longfield complete with inner axle set fit ?

And so from what date only the fj40 birfields from longfield fit ?

(just a quick question to decide wich of the advertised bj73 i better take)

becouse heard its pretty expensive to buy custom sizes from longfield !
 
Yup, you can use the 40 series superset for a BJ70 series axle. The lenghts are identical.
 
If its a 9.5" geared axle, then you should be fine. Post 1990 you start to see the 8" high pinion front axle which the axle shafts are a little longer IIRC. 1leglance did Longs on his '94 HZJ75 and had to have Bobby cut the shafts to fit.

If you would have posted exactly what you wanted, you may have gotten a more complete/quicker answer. Just sayin:meh:

With the warranty, it is one of the best. He will replace a broken part no questions asked as long as it doesn't fall under one of the cavetats of the warranty, wear and tear, and damage caused by another component failure. The only Longfield not replaced that I remember seeing a thread on was an axle where the wheel bearings failed. Im sure if you search high and low, you can find someone that has a red-ass because their axles weren't replaced. That being said, they are great axles and birfs. I'm getting ready to get some custom cut shafts for my HZJ-75;)

Slightly off topic, but have you considered swapping to the older 9.5'' diff housing to save on fitting custom parts ?

What size CV's are in a HZJ75 they are slightly larger than 60 series but smaller than 80 series right ?

The CVs look like they are the same size as the 40/60 series, just the long and short shafts are a little bit different. I'll pull and measure while I have my axle torn apart. 1leglance doesn't have the measurement difference any more and neither does Bobby Long from his order. If I get a set, I'll do a little measuring and see what the differences are in length and CV bell size.

The extra $100 or so bucks I'd save on custom shafts isn't worth the red-ass of finding and swapping in a 60 series axle housing. Aside from that, everything else is either 40/60 or 80 series parts which are readily available:meh:
 
Any updates on the longfields for the 70 series with the 8" high pinion?

We stock a kit for lj rj kzj 70 lc ii. Its a bit different length inners than the bj70 kit. I have not confirmed fitment on hzj70 8" leaf front type, but thinking likely. We do also have chromoly full float rear axles and any ratios of nitro gears all in stock.
