That Spectre deal is a good one. I think you get a full floating rear with the deal.

I was able to pick up a used Lockrite for cheap so that made my decision easy. I'm thinking I'll just swap the spider gears in when the snow comes since I don't wheel in winter.

My truck is more then "trail only" but far from a DD. Mostly weekend, around town stuff and offroad trips.

Hey Dave, when you get the Budbuilt TR's, let me know how are they. I am in the market for those too.

PowerTrax in FJ62

I'm also running a PowerTrax in an FJ62.

I like it a lot. It locks up only when under power, so I've had to learn to not power through tight mountain turns. My girlfriend appreciate this side affect!

I've wanted an ARB for, ah, 7 years, but could never justfy the cost (and my winching skill is now stellar!). I got the PowerTrax only because it was cheaper than replacing the spider gears in the diff (dmaged as result of Honda Civic totalling itself by slamming 90* into rear wheel @ 25 mph - thrust washer came off and went through gears...)

Bottom line:
PowerTrax = less than $400
Install time = 2 hours

All the guys and gals at the local 4x shop are trading in their limited slip and LockRite units for these now!

Yes, I would go ARB front / rear if I could, but I'm back in school for a few more years so PowerTrax it is :)
