So I just needed to replace the wheel studs on my stock 87 fj60, and ran into a question. After putting everything back together and testing out the system. I had the front end lifted on stands, and checked the locking hubs. They turn easily, as they should. When locked With both wheels off the ground, truck running, in neutral, in 4high
, and I manual spin on wheel the other turns in the opposite direction. Did I put the hub together wrong after changing the wheel studs??

The differential gears will cause the other wheel to spin backwards if you spin a wheel with both wheels off the ground. It is behaving as designed.

Thank you for putting that to rest.
