For the OP - here you go man. Knock yourself out. The Grizzly locker's are tough to beat these days. They are way ahead of a detroit.

You have a new rig that it sounds like you have yet to try out. Before you get all worked up over lockers take it out on a trail and test it out.

The first mod I'd do would be the CDL 7 pin mod if it hasn't been done.

I think you will be surprised what a stock 80 can do without lockers.

Long before I got my 80 in 2005, I accessed trails in Idaho and Utah with my mini-truck, and 4runner, (see sig line) that I cannot access with my locked 80. Both these vehicles were not locked.

Mostly, the trails were too narrow, or steep, slippery and wet for the 80, which is why I can't access them now.

The 80 is heavy, wide, and rubber slips in steep mud. A lighter narrower, more agile vehicle is better for this type of trail.

The 80 is a great expedition vehicle for wider trails, an amazing vehicle, really. Go from cruising 75 mph in comfort all day, to crossing creeks, and up snowy roads, all in the same vehicle, with everybody warm and dry.

Your unlocked 80 will serve you well for years, and the lockers are additional mechanical complexity, with the attendant maintenance and repair accociated with it.

Many many Colorado trails do not require a locker. Spend that coin on sliders for rocker protection.

A quick and easy mod is the center differential lock switch. It locks the center diff in high. This is fantastic for snow driving. It would come in handy for mild off roading.

Congrats on your new rig. It looks clean, and a rare color. Low miles are hard to come by these days.
