I've been running this mod with a light-up rocker switch for approx 8 yrs on a KZN130 with the smaller TC equipped a343f, no issues at all, and used daily driven in a mountainous area. I use it to help keep heat down on long steep climbs.
Hoping to pickup a UZJ100 next week with the a442f and will likely be my first mod.
F**ken awesome information. I got my trans hot twice, even with a transmission cooler on some long hill climbs (Towing). And decided it was time for an upgrade, I was about to buy the wholesale auto's lock up kit that Ive been looking at for a few years now, but decided not to when i realized it only works properly with there valve body. Then I found this thread.
Been using it for about a week now and its almost as good as having a manual, having engine braking is amazing.
Still curious what its like towing with a decent load on. But its bound to be an improvement.
I added the switch to change how the trans behaves in low range. My verdict is ill probably never use it, I definitely prefer aggressive low range that doesn't change until 3 and a half grand, and slams into gear. But it could come in handy when Im off road and worried about running out of fuel.
