Hi All-

Looking to bite the bullet and have an Aqualu tub put on Rufus- any suggestions as to someone good locally that can do the install (and potentially clean up the frame a bit as well)? We are right in the middle of a house move and I'm not going to get set up to do any work until we build a new carport (but he's gotta look good for Cruiser Days this year!)

TIA Guys-
Andrew

When you get the Aqualu tub you also get an instruction video. It's quite easy to do.A weekend,a buddy, and minimal tools and then you have a new truck.Save a LOT of bucks that way.

Hi Rod-

Info much appreciated! Showing my woeful ignorance, is the join at the front not welded? I can grind and yank bolts but don't have access to a welder :D

Cheers, A

Maybe to you Dan.I hear you make toast and there's welding involved. There wasn't any when I put my tub on.

check the front tub mounts
most of late model 40/42 we've done have needed work on the mounts and lower "A" pillars. A few are minor but some have needed major reconstruction

How's it been running lately?

a few samples of what can be hiding under those rubber floor mats plus a few repair shots

I guess I was very lucky. My front tub mounts looked nothing like the previous pics. That was the only place in my tub that was solid.Just needed the supplied PL like caulking and bolts.

Hey Steve-

Thanks for the info- very useful. I think mine would fall into the minor repair category- my rubber mats are long gone and I think some kind of rustproofing paint has been put on there at some point. I will have a good poke around and see what I can see... I assume you guys have done quite a few of these?

Truck's been running great, just ran out to Matsqui and back last night for a meeting and she ran cool and smooth at 110 the whole way. On the flip side I have had to do full rear brakes, clutch slave cylinder and muffler over the last couple of months so I'm not getting off easy...

Thanks again, will be in touch.

A
