Hi guys... I'm new to this site, and new to Land Criusers/LX 450’s…

I recently picked up a 97-LX450 and its in need of some cosmetic TLC...

Just wondering if someone can recommend a few local wreckers that might have 95-97 LC/LX’s in their yards...

Items I’m looking for:
Passenger side head lamp assembly (both halves), and possibly the fender too.
Driver side tail light assembly
Attenna/mast assembly, stock front bumper, Misc interior trim...

:hillbilly:

Sheldon at G&S out in the valley, but I think his would all be JDM.

Steve at EBI might have some.

ATEB might have some, probably all JDM though.

Mustang Conenction? out in Armstrong perhaps?

Chilliwack pick a part, and theres another one out in Abby I think.

The fender might be different for the antenna hole on a JDM, or you might have to drill it. The antenna mast you can order from cruiserparts.net, as long as the motor still works.

I use to have a 77' Bronco :frown:.

Ulysse,

All the parts I used in my refresh were got from a guy in Montana, great prices and good quality parts. I got a few parts from Sheldon at G&S as well but most where from Montana. Shipping was cheap and the prices where fantastic.

Radd Cruiser parts on the Island had a few 80's both JDM and USDM to pull parts from, call for pricing before going over there.

Post up some details on the new addition.

Jeremy

I have some JDM headlights that you can have free. I'm in BBY too, so it should be easy to meet up if you are interested.

While it is nice of you to offer a fellow MUDDER something for free, I recommend you either dump them in the trash or send them back to Japan. All JDMs must/should be outfitted with the correct lights for use in Canada.

Yeah I spoke with Sheldon and he confirmed that there are slight differences in the grill/bumper and lights on pre 95 stuff so the JDM stuff (being mostly pre-95) might be of limited use to me...

I kind of thought that parts might be a liitle bit rare up here being that most 80's are US rigs... anyhow thanks all for the tips....

I'll probably post a build thread on OLC... Its CDN spec vehicle so it has the factory lockers... she's not pretty...

Looks like you need an ARB bumper, or perhaps find a local person to build you a custom bumper, and perhaps some sliders as well

Its amazing how similar the condition is of your and mine when I got it.

NO front end damage but missing both rear flairs and so on.

The LX has diffident grill and head lights as well as side marker lights than the LC of the same year range they are Lexus specific. LC head lights will not fit the LX grill.

Glad you found one after your long search, should come out to the CC meeting next week.

Just for reference sake 96/97 LX markers fit on JDM trucks.... I put them on mine to make it look more factory rather than putting stickers in my truck :p

Truck looks fine to me. What are your plans for it? Family hauler or Bronco replacement?

Try the mud classifieds for part outs, I got tail lights for $40 compared to the $80 most want down here. 80s weren't sold in Canada so you won't find many at the wreckers, you'd have better luck in the states, but even then I couldn't find any intact headlights in the belligham area. The antenna mast if I recall is like $20 from parts.com

Family hauler, as I can't do anything family wise with the half cab... I'll keep the EB for when I go out with you ;)

Sheldon mentioned Marysville for some reason, so maybe I'll phone around to see if any wreckers down there have what I'm looking for.

Yeah the antenna motor works so I'll look into getting the mast online... Need it so that I can listen to the Loungo bashing on the AM

Ya the 100's are coming down but not that far.

$3.5k nice score. I might have missed mention of it but any plans for lift, tires etc?

Pretty well all of the above... with a minimalist lift to fit 315's, P1 is getting it to the point that its a little more presentable so that my colleagues at work don't think that I'm such a skid... :hillbilly:

Hey welcome to the addiction,
I've a few bits and pieces available...
Ive got a stock front buyer you can have for free. Tan / champagne in colour, one underside corner is tweaked but it is a easy fix.
I've also got the passenger side marker light with proper colour orange for the lx450

Let me know if you're interested in a trip to kamloops!!
