So I plan to swap the 3l engine that is currently in it. To a 1fz-f engine.

Is there anyone that has done this before?

Any pros and cons?

And is there much modifications that I would have to do to do such a thing?

its a pretty long engine for a 4 cylinder engine bay I'm sure someone somewhere has done it before but it'll be a tight squeeze and might need a bit of firewall and/or radiator panel modifications, 1UZ V8 swaps are pretty common and a lot easier to do on the LJ trucks

Reason im using a 1fz is because I got it out of a cruiser i scrapped. But arnt the front of most land cruisers the same or they make some shorter than others?

HJ75 from fire wall to radiator along top off rockerbox.

I just measured the length of my bay and from the firewall to the end if the radiator I have 36 inches

They are not only shorter , the bonnet slopes down at a more acute angle. Others have done the 5cyl 1PZ diesel swap.
Have you considered doing a turbo install on the 3L? Trying to make a 1FZ fit into a LJ79 will mean chopping up a perfectly good Landcruiser for swap they may never be any good.

come to think of it I may just look for a land cruiser body and drop it on the chassis I have and got the engine from when I scrapped it
