I've got a stock lj78 with a factory electric locker .While wheeling in the snow it seemed like it was not engaging . The reason I say this is the dash light says it's on but while stuck in the snow only one wheel was spinning .I know it worked in the past what should I check first What oil to run I might pop the 3rd if it's not obvious from the outside . thanks Russell

the electrics of the locker ie the actuator does not like moisture . I would start at the contacts first( clean it up ) especially if you have been in the snow.

No need to pop the 3rd, just remove the actuator unit and see if it's turning.
take apart and check the loom plug, they have been known to be a problem thing.
