Lj70 fuel filter assembly question

hi guys i have what i thought was a quick question but after posting on a couple of forums, noone seems to know. so i'm fitting an LJ70 fuel filter assembly to a Daihatsu Fourtrak engine bay (of sorts). the original daihatsu filter assembly has wires going into the top of the assembly (fuel heater?) and wires into the bottom water trap. the landcruiser assembly also has these two sets of wires, as well as yellow wires and a relay on the side as can be seen in the pics. are the yellow wires for a fuel stop solenoid or something else? also what is the relay for. any help would be good as i want to get the truck running asap but need to know this first! thanks.

The only ones that I have seen with the fuel heater have a bulge in them where the heater lives. As for two sets of wires, again, the only ones I have seen that have second set of wires (other than the water sensor) are for a fuel heater.

On a rotary pump engine, the fuel stop solenoid is located on the pump body.

On the donor vehicle, is there a fuel heater option? fuse for the fuel heater? (you don't mention what year the LJ70 is - so can not look it up).

the truck is a 1989/90 round headlight LJ70.
i thought there would be a fuel solinoid on the pump as well but as the donor vehicle was a daihatsu engine aswell rather than the 2.4 i wasn't sure whether it had an additional fuel cut off or something.

Get a new one from a Toyota parts supplier. The heated one is relatively expensive for what it is, but the non-heated one is more (talking about the 80 series part here).

but then i'll have two assemblies that i won't know what to do with....
the problem is that i want to use this one but am not sure how to connect it up because i don't know what it is :S
