now may be your opportunity, may be a tad wet over the next few days... :)

DONT DO IT!!!!

I played in mud couple of weeks ago and im still paying the price. The other day i saw a nice puddle of gear oil right under my t/c. Looks like the mud screwed up my output shaft seal. I had just changed it a couple of months ago.

Now im going to have to to pull entire t/c down and change front and rear seals to make sure.

DONT DO IT

Scout outing up to Snow Valley this coming weekend. Dates planned a year ago. Looks like we might actually have mother nature made snow for once...if we can get there!

On a different front, wife called and said the golf course we look down on from our house is almost completely under water. That's only happened once in the 13 years we've lived there on a Saturday morning where we had 6, yes 6 inches of rain in one morning.

Ought to be a fun drive home tonight!

Cruiser content - I DO drive the cruiser on days like this. Looks like I'll be driving her all week too! :bounce:

quite a few feet of snow forecast up there...

yup, Brent, me too, I got it ready to go for when it's pouring down. Better than my little DD...

Sounds like you've become a True Believer, Harry.

;)

I had the front seal of my transmission get ripped up by some particularly nasty mud, so I steer well clear of mud now. That was an expensive lesson.

No wonder you werent excited to cross that quasi dry lake bed on the Mojave Rd!

Naw, I really wasn't too worried about the mud getting into things on the lake. I was worried about getting bogged down to the frame in that goop and having to pay some bulldozer guy a grand to come pull me out. I've not been stuck like that before, but I pulled out an F150 once that was, and it took every little bit from my winch to get him out. Almost didn't. Damn near burned up the winch. royal PITA, and I'm not gonna go willingly into that mess again.

The mud that tore up my seal was soupy, not more solid like that lake mud.

Frankly, I don't like either kind, and I avoid them.
