Ok, so I finished the switch harness for my subtank switch and installed it. I used the 2 empty plugs behind the radio. I was using Manglers diagram as a guide. Back light works but the indicator stays on all the time. I used a 10a dome light circuit that was present in one of the plugs and a ground. I was assuming that by pressing the switch I would be opening or closing a circuit (like closing the door) and the light would go one and off.

I had tested the circuit with a multimeter and it was hot all constantly, without the key on.

What am I missing here? Does this sound reasonable, do I need to recheck my grounds?

BTW its a 96

Im ASS uming that this switch activates the pump in the aux tank and there are two seprate lights in the switch? Or maybe a seprate indacator?

Either way you will want the switched + that goes to the pump to power your ON indacator.

Ahh, yes that makes sense. Thanks I hadn't thought about that so the light comes one with the 12+ versus on it own circuit. I guess it it was on its own circuit it could come one when the pump was off and go off when the pump was on. :confused:
