Does anyone know how to get the plastic lenses out of these fixtures? I have tried and tried. It is like there is a small ring like a c-clip down in the housing. Cannot get them out.
Thanks.

Yes, there is a small spring clip in a groove behind the lens. Clean the inside real well and soak the backside with WD-40. The steel spring clip corrodes into the pot metal housing. Don't use anything too agressive to clean because the lens is plastic. You can use a dental pick to pull the spring out of the shallow groove. Or after soaking it......................... if you feel lucky................... just push the lens through with a wooden dowel.

I've attempted this myself without much luck. I soaked her in cider and still ended up breaking it. Let me know if you find a solution.

I didn't take pictures of the thing disassembled. :frown: The lens has a very thin flange on it so it's pretty fragile. The spring clip will come out, you'll need a fine spring hook or dental pick with a right angle. It doesn't stick out at all, you'll have to feel around until you find the gap between the ends of the clip. Once you get under the clip it will come right out, it's not very strong and the groove isn't deep.

Good Luck
