I am shopping and thought I would share this from a Garage Journal thread.

Testing and Complete Failure of a 10k lb 2 post lift.

I have an Excursion in addition to the 62 and 40 so capacity is an issue. If I didn't have such a heavy truck, 8k lb empty, I would not be quite as discerning. I would want a 10k lift minimum even if they do build in 1.5 safety factor.

Upon further reading I see that this video has been around quite a while and many of you who shopped and purchased lifts might have seen it. Still good to know. I think I'll not buy the least expensive lift.

Interesting thread. Thanks for posting.
I have a Forward lift I bought from NAPA.
The local garage recommended them and I'm very happy with it.
!0,000 lbs, two post. Delivered and installed for $5k.

Thanks for the link @Dunbar. I am researching lifts too, let us know what you decide on. I don't plan to go cheap but want to make sure I get quality not just something $$$. Hopefully I can find something used.
