Gumby, What did you do then?
Did you figure out a way to compensate for that? Because I will be driving at high speeds a lot (going and coming back from school).

You will need the castor correction bushings.

oh ok. already planned on buying them at the same time. I cant stand light steering.

Oh, the steering would be more than 'light' - it gets downright scary with the caster off.

Luke

Oh, you know i'm just going to order all of it at once incl. steering damper. And have the damper put on later.

whys that? the damper is the easiest thing to install....

Castor correction bushings are the way to go, and they're not all that hard to put in with some pretty important considerations.

1. you need a press or you need to take it to someone with a press. Also take them the instructions as the bushings can be put in wrong very easily.

B. don't take both arms off at once. This makes taking them to somebody twice as hard, but if you take them both off the axle will move and make it hard to get them back right.

III. some of the bolts turn and some of the nuts turn. There are locking tabs on the inside of the flange on some of the bolt heads and on some of the nuts. Check the 80 series FAQ before you dive in.

If you're coming on Saturday- I have a press here.

And Gumby should come to show us which direction they go.:D

no he shouldnt! he should be working on his 50!

Thanks for the advice about the control arms. I'll have to see when I can get everything ordered, hopefully this weekend.

Luke, I'm really sorry I was planning of coming that changed at 4pm today when customs cleared the shipment a week early (its 4 full containers) :bang:. So my dad needs me to help supervise at the loading (in this case unloading :D) dock. Its a lot of merchandise and it needs to be all unloaded into the ware house this weekend. Basically Friday through Sunday is blown, but thats the expense of a family business...

When is the next tech day? I'd love to come for that.

Oh, also... I am going to India in July, they do some great quality, cheap Fab work there. For just about anything.
