When I removing the Auto cold start device on my Bosch IP today I also replaced the o-ring on the LH timer cover and fixed a leak. I put it back on a tightened it up. This should be fine right, I haven't changed the adjusting screw so its all good. Please can someone confirm I am right? I haven't started the truck yet, and won't till someone confirms this.

Incase you didn't see reply in other thread, yes it's completely fine. If you haven't touched the adjuster and the springs/shims are all back in there's no issues.

I've probably had mine on/off about 40 times in the last few months playing around with difference shims/spring pre-load to get it to perform exactly how I prefer :)

I took the truck for a drive this morning and noticed that when I sit still and rev up and down quickly puffs of black smoke come from the exhaust. Obv this is silly and it doesn't smoke under normal conditions, even on full throttle up a hill. Think this is okay?

Has it not always done this? Pretty common for this to occur

Yeah guess I am sensitive as I have never actually sat and done this exercise with the ACSD on come to think of it.

Probably partially caused by the ACSD removal. Is an emissions device that advances the timing to make it run lean and clean when cold.
